Non-Intimidating EMDR Consultation Cohort (May - November 2026)
Let’s answer the question so many of us therapists ask in session —“Where do we go from here?”
EMDR therapy can be intimidating for therapists. Sometimes it’s because we’re new to the modality and we were scared to death in our basic training that you’ll irreparably harm someone if you don’t do everything exactly as taught. Or maybe you’ve been trained for a while and it just isn’t working for you — you’re feeling frustrated, unsure what to do, and close to giving up on it. Even still, perhaps you have some experience and are in a groove with EMDR, but you’re encountering more complex cases that trip you up. This group is for you!
This group is specifically for those that may feel intimidated by EMDR or the idea of consultation, but want to learn how to work with non-cookie cutter cases. In this cohort we’ll blend education with your real world examples to help you feel confident, secure, and hopeful when performing EMDR even when it comes to more complex cases.
What Topics Will Be Covered:
Reviewing all 8 phases of EMDR and adjustments that may need to be made for complex clients
Case conceptualization with your clients
Target Sequencing (including what to do when the standard 3 Prong or First/Worst/Last approach doesn’t work)
Treatment Planning
Types of Processing
Somatic & Experiential Interweaves
Practicing skills during consultation
Demonstrations as needed
Learning how attachment, somatic, and parts work can be interwoven into the EMDR process
All the things you weren’t taught in basic training
Group Structure & Cost:
Group will meet once monthly for 90 minutes from (May - November 2026).
Groups follow a semi-structured form where time is spent discussing the phases and topics of the month drawn from your real life cases as well as time for case conceptualization with each participant. Each participant is expected to bring at least one client issue to each group.
This will be a closed cohort of 8 participants so that everyone can build stronger connections and go deeper with their work.
Each 90 minute consultation session costs $95 (total of $665 for all 7 sessions with monthly payment plan available).
This group satisfies the 10 group consultation hours that can be applied towards certification (if you’re not already certified).
The consultation cohort will have access to their own private community page inside Mighty Networks for discussion, sharing of resources, meeting recordings, and event links.

FAQs
-
Each cohort has their own dedicated space inside our private community on Mighty Networks.
In their private community, cohort members will have access to the group call links, a resource library, group call recordings, and a space to discuss EMDR with fellow cohort members.
-
Due to consultation cohorts being closed groups (meaning we do not add other cohort members once the consultation calls begin), we do not offer refunds once signed up for a group.
If you are unable to attend a call, you will have access to the recording so that you can still benefit from what was discussed in the group.
I attempt to offer one free hour of group consultation per quarter. This invitation is first open to those who have missed a cohort call and then it is offered to all consultees until a maximum of 8 participants is reached. This allows a chance to make up a consultation hour if needing hours towards certification.
-
Yes, those who have taken group consultation hours with me can work with me as their EMDRIA Approved Consultant for their remaining individual hours.
Individual consultees are allowed to schedule one individual consultation session per month. The cost of individual consultation is $200/hr.
My requirements to write your recommendation letter includes reviewing recordings (audio or video) of your EMDR sessions. We will need to review at least 2 recordings to make sure that you understand the foundation of EMDR and have the ability to adapt when needed for your clients.
If you have more questions about recordings, please reach out.

What is my consultation style?
I want you to feel empowered. Each of us, no matter how long we’ve been practicing EMDR therapy, brings our own unique talents and perspective into the work we do. You likely have a lot more good going for you than you realize.
When I work with a consultee we start with a case conceptualization to get their wheels turning about the case we’re discussing. We’ll see what has worked, what hasn’t, and any areas that need further exploration. We’ll discuss areas you don’t feel the strongest in to help you feel more capable and informed.
My goal is for all clients to have better EMDR experiences and that starts with helping therapists feel more confident and capable in the work they’re doing.
