THIS ISN'T YOUR AVERAGE THERAPY.
At Good EMDR Therapy, LLC I specialize in helping clients achieve deep, lasting change with EMDR Intensive therapy and Somatosymbolic Processing therapy. If you feel stuck, or like life’s not going the way you want it to, I can help.
The vast majority of my clients find my practice after years of unsuccessfully trying to get to the root of their issues utilizing other forms of therapy, attempting to read everything they can in their own self-healing work, or with a referral from their current therapist or medical doctor. If this sounds familiar, know that you’re not alone. I’m here to help when other things haven’t.

I work with a range of clients age 18+ in St. Louis, Missouri and virtually throughout the states of Missouri and Florida, who have varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds, gender identities, and sexual orientations. The one thing they all do share though, is a set of negative beliefs holding them back. These beliefs typically make us feel unworthy of good things or speak to the shame and defectiveness we feel deep down inside.
From highly successful professionals to stay at home parents to college students–these beliefs impact our ability to form and maintain healthy relationships, succeed in our careers, communicate our feelings in an effective way, ask for what we want, or enjoy the life we already have. Negative beliefs may present in our lives as: depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, negative body image, anger issues, self-sabotage, feeling the need to “control” situations, people-pleasing or caretaking of others, inability to form and maintain relationships, toxic relationship cycles, infidelity, poor boundaries, or inability to enjoy the life we’ve created, among others.
Some examples of these negative beliefs include:
“I’m not good enough”
“I don’t deserve or I’m unworthy of _______”
“I’m unlovable”
“I’m a failure”
“I’ll never succeed”
“I’m not capable”
“I’m bad or defective”
“I’m too much/too difficult”
“I’m a burden”
“I’m weak or pathetic”
“I’m out of control”
If you just read that list and felt called-out… Don’t worry, there’s hope. Keep reading.

What if I said there was a way to take all those negative core beliefs above and drastically reduce their impact on you or even remove them completely? Because there is.
Good EMDR Therapy, LLC is a therapy practice centered on EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy and Somatosymbolic Processing.
EMDR is a world-renowned therapy due to its ability to rapidly reprocess distressing events and beliefs. While EMDR is a go-to treatment for reprocessing “Big T” trauma events (e.g. war, assaults, abuse, crime victimization), it also processes “little t” trauma events such as attachment issues, emotional neglect, or misattunement in childhood which often leads to the negative core beliefs and dysfunctional behavior patterns that keep us feeling stuck in adulthood. EMDR lets us clear the noise so that you can live the kind of life you actually want. And the best part–it does it rather quickly. Issues that could take years to reprocess with traditional talk therapy alone may take just a few months with EMDR. Yeah… it’s that awesome.
Not to be outdone though, Somatosymbolic Processing adds another level to the work we do. It brings the depth of EMDR, with the nervous system attunement of somatic therapy, while allowing our inner wisdom to rise to the surface through psychodynamic elements.
Both processes are always attachment-oriented and experiential in nature, allowing for deeply profound and meaningful work to take place at a pace that feels comfortable for your unique nervous system.
